About me
I am a Brazilian-American graphic designer and artist based in Miami, Florida. I am currently studying Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, Rhode Island.
I began as a painter, creating colorful and abstract portraits. I still love using analogue methods in my Graphic Design pieces and process.
As I explore graphic design, I bring my love for vibrant colors and visual effects to my digital work. I’m especially interested in how visual elements like typography, color, and form communicate ideas and engage specific audiences. I adore bright colors and decorative typefaces that have a rich personality. I am an extremly playful and curious designer.
During my time at RISD, I have developed a thoughtful and research-driven approach to my projects. I am drawn to brand identity design, poster design, and publication design. I’m also passionate about marketing in relation to visual design, and how design can completely reshape a business, its consumers, and its message.
I am currently working as a Student Coordinator and social media designer for RISD’s First Generation Organization, Project Thrive. I am also the Lead Design Editor for SOMOS, Brown University’s latinx literary design magazine. I look forward to continuing growing my design practice with these roles alongside my classes at RISD.
