aBOUT ME

I am a Brazilian-American graphic designer and artist based in Miami, Florida. I am studying Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, Rhode Island.

I began as a painter, creating colorful and abstract portraits. As I explore graphic design, I bring my love for vibrant colors and visual effects to my digital work.

During my time at RISD, I have developed a thoughtful and research-driven approach to my projects. I am drawn to brand identity design, motion design, and publication design. I’m especially interested in how visual elements like typography, color, and form communicate ideas and bring brands’ ethos to life. I’m also passionate about marketing in relation to visual design, and how design can completely reshape a business, its consumers, and its message.

Apart from digital design, I enjoy printmaking, primarily screenprinting, and I continue to paint in my free time.

I am currently working as a Student Coordinator and Social Media Designer for RISD’s First Generation Organization, Project Thrive. I have transformed Thrive’s social media which was completely inactive, and raised engagement in our account and in turn our events immensely through eye-catching info-graphics. I am also the Lead Design Editor for SOMOS, Brown University’s latinx literary design magazine, where I lead the design team and manage deadlines. I look forward to continuing growing my design practice with these roles alongside my classes at RISD.
